Some Canadian universities and colleges provide the scholarship to the meritorious students. The amount and type of scholarship are dependent on the institution.
The international students are permitted to work for two to three years after the completion of their studies. The duration of the permit depends on the duration of the course. For example, a one-year degree course gives two-years work permit. Similarly, for two and three years course the work permit is for three years. Most of the student get a job in the field of their interest within six months of graduation.
The student can then apply for permanent residence (PR) after the term of work permit is completed, under different categories suitable to them like a provincial nominee, Canadian experience class, etc.
Canadian universities permit its international student to work for 20 hours a week during the study period, anywhere on or off campus. While students can work full time during vacations. If a person is married than their spouse can work full time while the person can study.
