SASKATCHEWAN IMMIGRANT NOMINEE PROGRAM

Saskatchewan is bordered on the west by Alberta, on the north by the Northwest Territories, on the east by Manitoba, to the northeast by Nunavut, and on the south by the U.S. states of Montana and North Dakota. Saskatchewan is a home to 11, 81,987 residents who primarily live in the southern half of the province, while the northern half is mostly forested and sparsely populated. Of the total population, roughly half live in the province’s largest city Saskatoon or the provincial capital Regina. Saskatchewan has a vibrant art and culture scene, scenic provincial parks and plenty of sports and recreation opportunities. Known as the birthplace of Medicare, its residents enjoy free medical care and excellent health care services.

 

The Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) allows the province to nominate candidates to the federal government for permanent residence under the following categories:

1. International Skilled Worker 
  •  ->Occupation in Demand category: This program does not require a job offer letter to make an application under SINP and is for skilled workers in demand. The candidate under this program qualifies to apply if one scores a minimum of 60 points on the SINP points assessment grid. Additionally, the candidates should have at least 1 year of work experience in the past 10 years under the NOC code 0, A, or B. The candidates must also possess a post-secondary degree in education, a language proficiency of CLB level 4, and sufficient settlement funds.
  •  ->Saskatchewan Express Entry category:This program is for the candidates who have a valid express entry profile number and a job seeker code. The candidate under this program qualifies to apply if one scores a minimum of 60 points on the SINP points assessment grid. Additionally, the candidates should have at least 1 year of work experience in the past 10 years under the NOC code 0, A, or B. The candidates must also possess a post-secondary degree in education, a language proficiency of CLB level 4, and sufficient settlement funds.
  •  ->Saskatchewan Employment Program:The program is for the candidates who have a job offer for a skilled occupation in Saskatchewan. The candidate under this program qualifies to apply if one scores a minimum of 60 points on the SINP points assessment grid, has at least 1 year of work experience in the past 10 years, possess a language proficiency of CLB level 4, and have a full-time permanent job offer letter from an employer in Saskatchewan under the NOC code 0, A or B.
2. Saskatchewan Experience
  •  ->Skilled worker with existing Work Permit:This category caters to skilled workers who have been working in Saskatchewan for at least 6 months with a valid work permit. To apply under this program, the candidate must have a Permanent full-time job-offer from a Saskatchewan employer in NOC 0, A, B. Also, the candidate must have worked for more than 6 months for the employer offering the job, with a valid IRCC work permit. Also, the candidate must show sufficient Language proficiency and settlement funds.
  •  ->Semi-Skilled Agriculture Worker with existing Work Permit:This category is for semi-skilled agriculture workers who have been working in Saskatchewan for at least 6 months with a valid work permit. To apply under this program, the candidate must have a Permanent full-time job-offer from a Saskatchewan employer in one of the occupations: NOC 8431: General Farm Worker or NOC 8432: Nursery and Greenhouse Worker.
  •  ->Saskatchewan Student Stream: The program is for the students who have graduated from any institute in Canada. To apply under this program students must have obtained a diploma or degree from a recognized Canadian institution. An applicant should have a valid post-graduate work permit and 960 hours of paid employment in the past 6 months in Saskatchewan to apply in this program. The candidate should have sufficient language skills, a permanent job offer from an employer in Saskatchewan, and a valid SINP Job approval letter to apply under this program.
